Leading cause of boat fires

The electrical system year after year is still the leading cause of boat fires. Much of this is down to poor installation, or maintenance, both of which can be rectified with detailed training.

Fuses and circuit breakers only prevent a very small percentage of fires, most on board electrical fires are caused by poor connections, incorrect cable sizing, or incorrect type or location of circuit protection devices.

All this and more is covered in great detail in the level 1 course.
