Meet Your Instructor

Hello there…

Prior to becoming a Yachtmaster instructor, I worked full time as a marine electrician, and by combining these skills I created a practical marine electrical course. 18 years later this developed into an online course and in 2019 MECO Training was born. We now provide courses for colleges and universities around the world, and independent marine electricians too.

As both a qualified teacher, and certified marine electronics technician I favour short, easy to follow, structured lectures that actively teach the 'building blocks' of larger topics, rather than long winded videos that take half an hour to get to the point.

My teaching philosophy is centred around fostering a positive and interactive learning environment, ensuring that my students not only grasp the finer detail and technical aspects of marine electrical systems but also develop a deep appreciation for electrical safety on board.

A massive part of any online course is the support, especially as the subject complexity increases, so this is provided by me personally. Once enrolled I will be your tutor, if you or need a nudge in the right direction, i'm always there for you.

Join me on a journey of discovery and mastery in the fascinating realm of marine electrics!
