Who Are These Courses Designed For?

Marine Electrical Training course for yacht owners

Owners & Crew

If you’re a boat owner, you’ve probably met the ‘boat fixer’ who charges confidently but fixes slowly.
Hours go by, the bill rises, and you’re left wondering whether the system is really fixed… or patched up just long enough to get you out of the yard.

And once at sea. you are the technician, with an unreliable electrical system, without the right training to repair.

Trainee Technicians

Those trying to get established in the marine electrical trade with professional training, often face a no win scenario.
With courses that require experience you don’t yet have.
Colleges that require entry qualifications, or even worse: wasting years on exploitative 'tea-making' apprenticeships
No clear route in, no guidance, no roadmap.

We are here to help...

  • Trainee Technicians achieve a, structured and certified route into the industry.
  • Owners & Crew understand their on board electrical systems, and how to find & fix faults.

Why Choose MECO?

  • Step-by-step learning path from basic boat electrics to advanced marine electronics and data networks
  • Accurate, standards-based training aligned with ABYC, ISO, IEC, NMEA, IMO, RCR, RCD, MCA, and class societies
  • Clear, non-intimidating lessons designed for both hands-on boat owners and technical professionals
  • Lifetime access to lessons, updates, and reference materials (excluding Lithium Battery Course)
  • CPD accredited online training recognised internationally
  • Optional MET 1, 2 & 3 certification to prove competence and advance your career
  • 30-day satisfaction guarantee — enrol risk-free
Marine Electricians Course Online

A clear, confidence-building introduction to marine electrics — designed for owner-operators and future marine technicians alike.

Well thought out, well structured and informative course.

I wanted to learn about boat electrics to do jobs on my yacht and had seen the advert for Meco on Facebook. The course materials are excellent - it starts with absolute basics and builds from there. I thought I knew a bit about electrics but there are some subtle but important differences for the marine environment. There are useful exercises at the end of each chapter. Highly recommended, I now am about to start the level 2 course.
